Teams telephony

Use Teams for PSTN telephony - linked to your existing telephone system or as a stand-alone solution. Classic desk phones can still be used or replaced by more cost-effective headsets.

Making calls from anywhere via the fixed network - Teams makes it possible. No matter where your users are, they can always be reached via the business telephone number. This means that no private or mobile numbers need to be used to call people in the home office.

Consolidation of communication channels

Consolidation of communication channels

The Teams client, which is available for all common operating systems, combines various communication channels in one application: chats, meetings and, finally, regular telephony. The merging of Teams and telephone also ensures that the availability status is displayed correctly across all services.

Coexistence instead of abolition

Coexistence instead of abolition

Investments already made are not displaced by Teams. Instead, Teams can be integrated with the existing telephone system to get the best of both worlds. Policy-based routing controls the flow of data between the on-premises infrastructure and Teams in the cloud.

Teams offers a whole range of functions that can be implemented without the usual high level of effort. Your users benefit from features such as queues, automatic switchboards and answering machines. In addition, complex routing scenarios can be easily mapped using rule sets.

Teams telephony at a glance

The use of Teams for landline telephony brings
a tried and tested means of communication up to date.

We support you in the planning, procurement and provision of the required hardware and software components.

Users benefit from a mobile solution that allows them to communicate inbound and outbound from any end device, regardless of location, using their usual telephone number. This is particularly popular when travelling on business or working from home.

Administrators are offered various ways to realise landline telephony via Teams. Depending on the required level of functionality and the existing infrastructure, a suitable deployment model is selected and implemented.

  • Calling plans: A phone number is requested from or transferred to Microsoft. Local infrastructure is not required.
  • Operator Connect: Well-known third-party providers make their services available directly, including the connection to Teams. No local infrastructure is required here either.
  • Direct Routing (local Session Border Controller): An SBC is operated in the company's own data centre and connected to Teams. The existing telephone system and its range of functions will continue to be used.
