To improve security, operational efficiency, and reliability, Microsoft will perform planned maintenance on the Windows 365 alerting service in the European Union region. This work is scheduled during non-peak hours to help minimize potential impact. You will receive another communication one week prior to the scheduled maintenance date.
Maintenance Schedule:
- Start: January 10, 2026, 6:00 AM UTC
- End: January 10, 2026, 8:00 AM UTC
[How this will affect your organization]
During this 2-hour maintenance window, admins will be unable to create or edit alert rules, and new alerts or notifications may be delayed. Existing alerts will remain visible, and remediation actions can still be taken as needed.
If your organization does not use Windows 365 alerting, no impact is expected.
[What you need to do to prepare]
This message is an advance notice regarding the change scheduled to occur in about a month. We’ll post another message one week before this maintenance window for your planning purposes. Because the maintenance is scheduled outside typical business hours, we expect minimal disruption. We recommend informing your Windows 365 service owners of the maintenance window and the possibility of delayed Windows 365 alert notifications during this period.
