Service description
In this workshop, everything revolves around the introduction, optimization, and operation of Microsoft Teams as a telephony solution. Together with you, we analyze your current communication environment and develop a tailored concept for transitioning or expanding your existing infrastructure with Microsoft Teams. The goal is to establish a central, modern, and location-independent platform for internal and external voice communication.
First, we cover the fundamentals and architecture of Microsoft Teams telephony. We provide an overview of the available options such as Microsoft Calling Plans, Direct Routing, and Operator Connect, and explain the respective prerequisites, licensing models, and typical architecture variants.
Next, we focus on planning the implementation – including topics like number strategy, locations, porting existing numbers, and setting up user accounts and voice routing.
The focus is also on configuring and setting up the telephony components in the Teams Admin Center, including Voice Routing Policies, voicemail settings, and dial plans. Additionally, the setup of call queues and auto-attendants is addressed.
Another key area is the integration of endpoints such as desk phones, headsets, and mobile clients – complemented by tips for introduction and increasing user acceptance. We also cover central aspects of security, monitoring, and operation, including QoS requirements, call analytics, call logs, and concepts for support and administration.
We also discuss the integration of meeting rooms with Microsoft Teams Rooms. This involves modernizing conference rooms for hybrid collaboration – focusing on ease of use, centralized management, and seamless participation in Teams meetings with optional telephony participants.
